Lurssen - 2002 / 2019
Asking price € 56,500,000
Built by Lurssen as project 9906 and delivered in 2002, SKAT was and remains well ahead of her time. Visually dramatic, the exterior by Espen Øino features harmoniously balanced geometric shapes and clean lines purposely reflecting the materials - steel, aluminum and glass - used for her construction. Her distinctive grey color which highlights the angular hull design is visually striking and easier on the eyes than stark white.
SKAT was not built for show. Comfort and performance are essential. Designed by Marco Zanini to match the exterior and maximize the use of space, the interior is minimalist, with ultra-clean lines. Zanini worked with few materials and colors but achieved an elegant richness.
SKAT’s engineering and construction are as impressive as her styling. To ensure quiet operations, machinery is mounted on double-resilient mounts while floors and ceilings throughout are soft-mounted.
SKAT carries two 8.5m tenders, two wave runners and even bicycles with an accompanying lift for easy exit from the ship. Tenders are launched and retrieved through doors in either side of the hull using a sophisticated system of hydraulic rams which operate the hatch doors and lifting beams.
