45m (147’) AWATEA SOLD Stuarts fifth sale in 2020

Stuart is pleased to announce the sale of Awatea, the 45-metre ocean-going motor yacht delivered by Hakvoort in 2008. Stuart acted for the buyer. Correctly priced and in excellent condition, Awatea (former My Trust) had not reached the market, but was based in Antibes. Awatea is Stuart’s fifth sale in 2020, confirming strong demand and resilient pricing notwithstanding the current travel restrictions.

With a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, Awatea was designed by Cor de Rover with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design while Felix Buytendijk was responsible for the interior design.
In 2018, the new owner redecorated the interior, lightening the palette without altering the layout. The current interior is modern classic featuring mahogany panels, superbly bevelled raised panel joinery and classic white painted surfaces and beamed deck heads. The prevailing color scheme includes tones of blue, aqua and white.

Built to Lloyds and MCA, Awatea was the first yacht to be built for chartering under the Dutch government rules for Commercial Cruising Vessels (CCV) and has the perfect length and layout for worldwide family cruising.
Larger than normal for a 45m, her layout makes the most of her 499 GT. All five staterooms are really spacious with en-suite bathrooms and the full-beam master suite, accessed via a private study, has 2.30m headroom.  She sleeps 10 guests with the master suite on deck and accommodates nine crew. A tender garage for a 7.6m tender and all her water toys keeps her decks clear for owner and guest relaxation.

Awatea is equipped with an ultra-modern stabilization system and cruises comfortably at 11.3 knots with max speed of 13 knots. Powered by twin 3508 Caterpillar engines she has a range of 4,600 nautical miles at her cruising speed.
